Terms & Conditions for London Met Students' Union Competitions and Prize Draws

 

1. The promoter is London Met Students' Union whose registered office is Harglenis Building, 166-220 Holloway Road, London, N7 8DB, United Kingdom and is a charity with registered charity number 1153293 and a company limited by guarantee registered in England with company registration number 8576499.

2. These rules apply to all competitions, prize draws, promotions, giveaways and suchlike that are promoted on and run through our website or social media channels. 

3. The Prize Promotions may be run on our Website or Social Media Channels. 

4. To enter a competition you must enter as directed on our website or social media channels.

5. Additional terms and conditions applicable to a Prize Promotion can be found, prior to you entering that Prize Promotion, on the post of the Prize Promotion relating to the Prize Promotion. For any Prize Promotion, the Prize Promotion Notice relating to that Prize Promotion shall be deemed incorporated into these Terms and Conditions and in the event of any conflict, the terms of the relevant Prize Promotion Notice shall prevail.

6. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other social network. You are providing your information to London Met Students' Union and not to any other party. 

7. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully.  These Terms and Conditions set out who can enter a Prize Promotion, how a Prize Promotion will be run and the circumstances in which we may withhold all or part of any Prize and/or disqualify you. By submitting an entry for a Prize Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.  Any amendments or cancellations to these Terms and Conditions will be posted on the relevant Prize Promotion.

8. We reserve the right to disqualify you from a Prize Promotion and/or report, remove or block you from (or remove your entry or comment from) the relevant Facebook Page/Twitter Page/Instagram Page if your entry or any comment from you is, or may reasonably be considered to be, defamatory, offensive, libellous, hateful, racially or religiously biased or offensive, unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing to any individual, partnership, corporation or entity or if we have reasonable grounds to believe that you have breached any of these Terms and Conditions.

9. Employees of London Met Students' Union connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.

10. Entrants must be aged 18 or over on the competition closing date.

11. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

12. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

13.  The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

14. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

15. No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

16. The winner/s will be chosen at random.

17. The winner/s will be notified within 28 days of the closing date. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

18. The promoter will notify the winner/s when and where the prize can be collected.

19. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

20. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

21. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

22. The winner/s agree to the use of their name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner/s or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

23. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
