If you are unable to submit an assignment or attend an exam due to mitigating circumstances and you would like to submit a mitigating circumstances extension request, your claim should be supported by relevant independent evidence.
Examples of acceptable evidence include:

Letter from your GP/ counsellor

Letter from a solicitor, summons to attend court; report from a police officer (crime numbers alone are not accepted by the University)

Letter from a University tutor supporting your claim

Corroboration/ statement from a University counsellor

Death certificate
-
Confirmation from a transport official of unavoidable, unforeseen and severe disruption to transport.
