Hello and Namaste Everyone. I am Trijan Manandhar - a Post Graduate Student from London Metropolitan University studying MSc. In International Business Management with Project Management. I was born in Nepal and graduated from London Metropolitan University’s direct Partnership College – Islington college Nepal and came to London to pursue my Masters.
I find this role very motivating. Although I am proud to say our University embraces ethnicities, there is always room for improvements and this position, I feel like I truly could make a big difference here in London Met. I’ve always been dedicated to making a difference to young people’s lives and I believe my experience with volunteering and different charity programmes, I can make positive impact on students’ University experience ensuring that the ethnic minority students adjust well in an new environment and feel included.

All the races, ethnicity and cultures to make feel valued and educate students to empower each other’s’ difference.

Offer additional support to ethnic minority focus group offering them a platform to be listened to.

Educate the University about the different races and ethnicities which will allow large pool of students to share about their cultures in the global platform.

Grow student involvement and a safe environment to celebrate and share out cultural activities with food, music, cultural performance, etc.

Expanding Ethnic Minority into a society where we can network, share, and appreciate each other’s experience in a safe place.

Ensuring that all the ethnic minority voices are heard.

Working side by side with the Student Union in resolving BAME student issues that they may feel on a grand scale, which need addressing by the University.
