Why vote for me

I believe Londonmet helps people to realise their dreams and potential. After 5 years of waiting to complete my undergraduate degree, I was finally giving the opportunity in 2016. I graduated in 2018 with a 2.1 in Education and Social Policy. Under challenging circumstances, I was able to achieve because I received the help and support from students and staff.

My offer to you

  • I am presently working with the University to improving the curriculum, so that the attainment gap of BAME students in receiving good degree classifications, will eventually improve.
  • To influence Students’ identities and cultures being represented in the curriculum.
  • Championing critical pedagogy- teaching and learning methods reflecting diversity and inclusion in culture, beliefs, and religion.
  • An asset, by transferring my enthusiasm, to mentor, and encourage my follow students to realise their potential.
  •  To support students in fairness, equality, and justice, influencing them to further make a positive impact in their own lives, and their community.
  • Influencing more partnerships and collaboration with top organisations, to guarantee work experience and internships.
  •  Very dependable, goal-oriented, and work well in a team.

Projects worked on

  • Member of a group of students, lecturers, and senior members of London Metropolitan University, reviewing changes to the graduate attainment report 2019/20. To review ways the university regulations and institutional strategy can align with their student’s success strategy  to enable  student’s success. Ensuring  the strategies are clear, transparent, reliable, fit-for-purpose, fair and inclusive.

  • Recently, part of a panel at the House of Commons at the Launch of ‘Race and Inequality in the workforce report’, hosted by Clive Lewis MP and Lord Simon Woolley. To gain an insight on what are some of the challenges the BAME community is still facing and to give my opinion on what I see as an injustice to the BAME community. The experience has empowered me to continue to speak out, to help those whose voice  cannot be heard and those not able to speak up.

  • As member of the  Strategy & Policy Group Resident Representative  of Peabody Housing Association (https://www.peabody.org.uk/resident-services/resident-involvement/strategy-and-policy-group) , in 2019, I was part of the panel in selecting new contractors for Market Research and Gas and Responsive Repairs Procurements. By participating in these panels,it has enabled me  to speak up for residents and improve their customer experience with Peabody.
