Hi, my name is Joanne white and I would like to be your Disability Union Officer this year. I have
been a student Union officer and student council member before. And have been known for taking
on equality issues like my campaign for more parking for disabled people, the start of the disability
Forum, better technology and also for more tutors to attend disability awareness training. If you
vote for me and I get to be disability officer this year I will listen to your concerns and campaign for
the things that you would like to be done for disabled people at the University. I believe that
disabled people should be listened to and the things they say taken seriously for example asking for
recording of lectures and better disability adjustments, but a lot of these changes have only
happened because the pandemic. I want to see the university make positive changes for all disabled
students.
Hopefully together we can make these changes happen.
