Hi everyone, I’m Gaia Cardone and I’m attending the second year of Criminology and Youth Studies' degree.

I’m 20 and I’m from Italy. As the first undergraduate student in my family I really want to gain as much experience and knowledge as possible so I decided to candidate as member of the student council. 

I consider myself as a passionate and diligent person, very friendly and open-minded, always focused on getting the best outcomes from every situation. I love keeping my days busy through studying and working and through theatre and musicals in general. In other words: I LOVE challenges! Communication skills are fundamental for this role so that I would be always open and available to hear concerns, feedbacks and suggestions that may be put forward during council meetings. Manifesto Points:

As part of the LGBTQ+ society I would sustain and forward to the council members any further concerns coming from the community.

Not all the societies in our University are active at the moment and, even understanding that their bodies are made by students by all means, I believe that students should be involved as much as possible, so I will lobby the student council to reevaluate and upgrade the list of societies.

One of the main concerns that I experience as well as many other students is the lack of knowledge regarding activities taking place after the lectures. I will suggest improvements in the student union website as well as promote the whole range of events that our university provides.
