Dear fellow students,

I am Ali student of MSc Public Health & having Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

I am excited to express my interest in the position of Vice President of Equity and Welfare. With 8 years of experience in social sector, United Nations (UNO), and NGOs. I have developed a deep understanding of the importance of equity and welfare in creating a successful and thriving organization. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to promoting equity and advocating for the welfare.

I am running for the position of Equity and Welfare Vice President because I believe that every student deserves a fair and supportive university experience. My goal is to ensure that every student feels valued, heard, and empowered throughout their time at this university. I am committed to creating a supportive community for all LMU students. Here is my manifesto:

  1. Equity and Diversity: I believe that every student deserves equal opportunities to succeed, regardless of their background or identity. I will work to create a more diverse and inclusive campus environment by promoting equity and diversity initiatives, increasing representation of marginalized groups in student leadership positions, and advocating for policies that promote social justice.

  2. Mental Health and Well-being: Mental health and well-being are essential to students' academic success and personal growth. As the Vice President of Equity and Welfare, I will prioritize mental health and well-being by increasing access to mental health resources, promoting mental health awareness campaigns, and advocating for policies that support the mental health needs of our student body.

  3. Accessibility: All students should have equal access to education and campus resources. As the Vice President of Equity and Welfare, I will advocate for policies and initiatives that improve accessibility for students with disabilities, including physical accessibility, access to academic accommodations.

  4. Community Building: A strong and supportive community is essential to student success and well-being. I will work to build a sense of community and belonging on our campus by promoting student clubs and organizations, facilitating opportunities for peer mentorship and support, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.

  5. Financial Support: I will work to increase financial aid and scholarship opportunities for students who need it most. I will also advocate for more transparent and accessible financial aid application processes.

  6. Student Advocacy: I will work to amplify student voices and advocate for policies that promote equity and welfare. I will listen to your concerns and work to make positive changes that benefit all students.

In conclusion, If i elected as Vice President of Equity and Welfare, I am committed to working tirelessly to develop and implement effective policies and programs that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion on our university. I will work closely with students, faculty, and staff to ensure that all students have access to the resources and support they need to succeed.

I look forward to working together to create a better future for all students on our campus.
