"United We Stand"

Hi everyone! I am Mojahar Ali, one of the research fellows at Law School and your current VP for Equity & Welfare .I am re-running for the  same position for the 2024–25 academic year. 

Some of the key projects I have delivered in the 2023–24 academic year as your VP  Equity and Welfare, such as:

  1. Multi-Faith Prayer Room (for Sisters and Brothers)
  2. Reordered lectures in all programmes
  3. Successful Campaign on Sexual Harassment 

Why will you vote for me?

1. I am experienced, hard-working, honest, punctual, dedicated, teamwork-oriented, friendly, easily approachable, and a good negotiator.

2.I will always fight for your rights and will ensure that your voice is always heard. I will also make sure that you get the best support at the London Met. Your welfare is paramount to me.

If re-elected as your vice president I pledge to: 

  1. Increase employment and internship opportunities for our students.
  2. More affordable food on and off campuses. I will lobby our catering department and neighbouring restaurants to ensure you get at least a 15-20% discount on your food purchases.
  3. More instalment plans for international students.
  4. Introduce free printing for all students.
  5. Identifying more scholarship and internship opportunities.
  6. Lobby with the library team to increase the library resources, e.g., up-to-date books, new computers, and visual materials alongside hard-copy books.
  7. Run a campaign on mental health and wellbeing.

So, vote for me and give me an opportunity to enhance your educational positive experience at London met.
