Transforming Dreams into Action!

About Myself:

Greetings! As an M.sc student specializing in Data Analytics, I stand before you today as a fellow student dedicated to transforming that pulse into a roar of community, opportunity, and innovation in addition to my candidacy as Vice President of Activities and Opportunities. As soon as I stepped on campus, I recognized areas with potential for further development. I've learned from experience that there is room for improvement in terms of diversity, well-being, and skill sets. To achieve full engagement and excellence, I promise to close gaps, promote inclusivity, and launch cutting-edge programs that benefit our diverse student body.

My Aim:

  1. More scholarship opportunities for international and unprivileged students:
As VP of Activities and Opportunities, I aim to enhance scholarship funds for international students facing financial challenges and collaborate with research departments to promote grants for postgraduate international students, supporting their innovative academic projects.
  2. Internship and Mentorship Programs: Along with partnering with the university to host career workshops and job fairs, I intend to establish alliances with regional and international companies to provide international students with work-study and internship solutions. To help international students secure scholarships, I will also launch a mentorship program that will utilize the expertise of senior students and alumni including workshops on interview and application techniques.
  3. Diversity and Inclusion Festival: In keeping with our dedication to inclusivity, I will plan numerous cultural and religious events (such as the Christmas party, Holi, Pohela Boishakh, and Eid celebrations). Cultural shows, seminars on diversity, and panels talking about social justice concerns might all be a part of the celebration.
  4. IT and Desktop problems in the library: Since many desktops in the library aren't functioning properly, we are all faced with IT and desktop problems. Additionally, a lot of labs have faulty desktops. After I'm elected, I'll take care of the campus's desktop and IT problems, especially in the library, to allow students to study without interruption.
  5. Outdoor Adventure Club: I'll create an outdoor adventure club to plan outdoor pursuits like kayaking, camping, and hiking. The goals of this club will be to foster teamwork, appreciation of nature, and leadership abilities. It will also assist in fostering students' mental and physical health.

Therefore, I kindly ask that you vote for me to be the vice president of activities and opportunities so that I can continue to work for the well-being of the students.
