Short introduction

My name is Shabeg Singh. I am student of master science and data analytics 2022 to 2024. I was class representative in pre extended master course.

I am standing for student council member.

Information about me

As a student council candidate, I believe in being honest, welcoming, and helpful to others. I want to make sure everyone is treated fairly and with respect in our campus. I'm driven to make things better and want to hear what every student has to say. I care about creating a friendly and fun in campus where everyone can do well and feel happy. With your help, I promise to listen to you, speak up for you, and do my best to improve our college for everyone.

Priorities

Student wellbeing, equity and inclusion, student voice, academic support.

Student well being

As a member, Prioritizing the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of students is paramount. Council members should advocate for resources, support services, and initiatives that promote student wellness and address issues such as stress, anxiety, and bullying.

Equity and inclusion

Secondly, I will focus on equity and inclusion as making sure everyone feels included and treated fairly in our campus is extremely important and imperative. Council members need to break down any unfair rules, encourage activities that promote fairness, and make sure everyone has the same chances to succeed and get what they need.

Student voice

Empowering student voice and participation in decision-making processes is fundamental. Council members should actively seek input from their peers, involve students in planning and decision-making, and advocate for student representation on relevant committees and boards.

Academic support

Supporting students academically by advocating for resources, study spaces, tutoring programs, and academic enrichment opportunities is essential. Council members should also work to address issues related to curriculum, grading policies, and student workload.
