Winners_Never_Quit and Quitters_Never_Win

I am Margarita, and I am running as your Women’s Officer. I am a Biomed student and throughout my time at university, I have been deeply involved in student leadership and advocacy.

WHO AM I?

Originally from Albania, I moved to the UK five years ago and, like many of you, fell in love with this place. I am an active and disciplined individual, waking up at 5 AM daily, balancing my placement, studies, and leadership roles within the SU.

On a personal level, I am a gym rat and a social media guru (trying to be an influencer 😉).

What Have I Done So Far?

  • Introduced the Free Period Scheme – Ensured free sanitary product access for female students.
  • Led Multiple Societies – Verve TV, Music Society, Italian Society, Albanian Society, and Science Society.
  • Organized Events & Activities – Supporting women at London Met.
  • Mentored & Supported Students – Helping female students navigate university life, career choices, and personal challenges.

But there is still more to do. If elected, I will continue fighting for safety, career opportunities, well-being, and stronger community support for all women at London Met.

My Key Promises to You:

🔹 A Safer Campus for Women

  • Free Self-Defense Workshops – Equipping women with practical safety skills.
  • Better Night Safety – More lighting, safer routes, and improved security policies.

🔹 Career & Leadership Empowerment

  • Women’s Leadership Program – Mentorship, networking, and skills training.
  • Industry-Specific Support – Events connecting women with STEM, Business, and Law professionals.
  • Negotiation & Confidence Workshops – Helping women secure better opportunities.

🔹 Women’s Health & Well-being

  • Better Women’s Health Support – On-campus resources for mental, reproductive, and sexual health.
  • Stronger Mental Health Policies – Tailored support for well-being.
  • More support for mature and international women students.

🔹 A Stronger Women’s Community

  • London Met Women’s Network – A supportive, empowering space for women.
  • Annual Women’s Summit – A conference featuring inspiring speakers and career panels.

🔹 Support for Mature Women Students & Parents

  • Increased support for mature students and those with families.

I have proven my dedication and know how to turn ideas into action. If re-elected, I will continue making London Met a safer, stronger, and more empowering place for all women.

However, I cannot do this alone—I need your support. Give me your hand, and let’s walk this journey together toward success!

✨ Winners never quit, and quitters never win. Together towards success! ✨
